Ashland to increase pricing for energy and specialties solutions products

WILMINGTON, Del. – Ashland Aqualon Functional Ingredients will increase the price for its products sold into the global energy and specialties solutions markets by 3 to 8 percent effective Aug. 1, or as contracts allow. Pricing increases for a number of raw materials, notably cellulose, chlorine, ethylene oxide and propylene oxide, prompted this global price adjustment.

Responding to changing market conditions allows Ashland to continue to invest in new capacity and product innovations to support our customers’ growth. Ashland continues to invest in productivity improvements to help mitigate rising costs.
